The "Revised" Approval Process

A Revised Approval process may occur at any time after initial approval and is usually precipitated by the institutions notification to the CSAAVE or as a result of findings during a Supervisory Visit. Most common is an institution's request for revision when its current catalog has expired or will expire soon. Revisions may be considered at this time that can involve a change in institutional or program status which may impact on: policy, name, location, accreditation, program design (e.g., length), school ownership, branch campus, or other factors covered in the regulations and requiring CSSAAVE review and approval.

At this time there is no application form required for a Revised Approval, however, a cover letter or attachment must include a list of IHL and NCD programs to be approved by the CSAAVE, and any certification forms that need to be updated will be required. The cover letter and/or any attachments must include a description of the substantive change(s) to the current catalog that is approved by CSAAVE, two copies of the new catalogs and a True & Correct Statement Form and applicable certification forms for each catalog submitted.

NOTE: Failure to properly advise the CSAAVE of any changes to the catalog/bulletin, or failure to submit any new publications of the catalog/bulletin for approval (2 copies), even in academic years when there are no veterans or eligible persons enrolled, will automatically void this approval effective the date of change.
